The Importance of System Calibration

I’ve been working on an HVAC project where automation is key, and I’ve noticed that proper calibration of control systems can drastically impact energy efficiency. Last week, I spent a good eight hours fine-tuning a set of automated dampers, and the difference in system performance was incredible. How much time do you guys typically allocate for calibration in your projects?

Calibration’s like seasoning — too little and it’s bland, too much and it’s overwhelming. I usually carve out a full day to get it just right, especially for something as critical as HVAC. How do you tackle recalibrating once the system’s already running?
