New Tech Reducing HVAC Energy Use

I’ve recently been looking into some exciting developments in HVAC technology that promise substantial energy savings. For instance, variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems are gaining traction and can cut energy consumption by up to 30% compared to traditional setups. I’m curious if any of you have had experience with VRF systems and if they really live up to the hype.

I’ve installed a VRF system in my office, and it did cut energy use significantly — , the initial cost gave me a heart attack, but seeing the savings month over month is pretty satisfying. Just make sure you size it right; too small and you’ll miss out on those energy savings.
