Dealing with Common Thermostat Issues

I’ve been noticing an uptick in calls about mismatched thermostat readings lately. Just last week, I encountered one that was off by 5 degrees, and it turned out the batteries were low. Has anyone else experienced this recently? It’s probably a good reminder to check the basics before diving deeper into diagnostics.

It’s funny how something as simple as batteries can turn our thermostats into little drama queens! I always suggest checking the placement too; if it’s near a draft or direct sunlight, it could give you false readings. Have you tried repositioning any of them?
