Best Multimeter for HVAC Diagnosis

Has anyone found a multimeter that holds up well for HVAC work? I’ve been using a basic one, but it’s frustrating when it can’t handle high humidity environments or give accurate readings on capacitor tests. Any recommendations for models that work well in the field?

I’ve been really happy with my Fluke 115 for HVAC — it’s durable and handles moisture well… Agree on the capacitor tests; a good meter makes all the difference. Have you checked out any specific models yet?

The Fluke 116 is another solid option; it’s specifically designed for HVAC and has a nice battery life, plus it handles humidity really well. I’ve used it for both voltage tests and temperature measurements, and it’s been reliable. Have you considered trying that one?

I’ve heard good things about the Fluke 116, especially for HVAC work since it’s designed to handle humidity. It’s like having a good umbrella on a rainy day — it just makes everything easier. Have you considered trying one, or are you sticking with your current model?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‌

If you’re in high humidity frequently, the Fluke 115 is solid for reliability and moisture resistance — just keep an eye on the battery life, as it can drain faster with heavy use. Have you tried using any specific accessories with your meter for capacitor testing, like a dedicated capacitor tester?
